A long time ago my father wanted to know where his Worcestershire sauce went to. He bought it to use for his steak and I ended up using it in my fried potatoes. Now I am the best cook in my immediate family who are nothing but a bunch of toxic people that I was glad to get the hell away from. I had a stomach ulcer for 20 years because of them and it got better as soon as I started writing them off.
One of them used to beg me to fix her some potatoes. This is my recipe I had invented when I was 21 years old. I didn’t stop there I have embellished it and now I am going to tell you how i did it.
I washed and cut 4 potatoes. Any color and type here can be used. You can peel them if you want or leave the jackets on if you want to like I did. The potato skins are edible.
I cut 1/2 of large onion in to half moon pieces because the other half ended up in the succotash. I do this when I am making more then one dish a lot. I added 2 cooking spoons of olive oil to the pot that is always my oil of choice because it is healthier. You can use any type of vegetable oil here too. I caramelized my onion and 1 clove of chopped garlic, 1 pinch of peppercorns I ground in my mortar and pestle. I prefer whole spices. Out of the choices of seasoned salt,or bullion, or vegtea seasoning, I ended up using seasoned salt.
I also added 3 dashes of Worcestershire sauce which gives these potatoes a very nice taste. You can also add either 2 drops of Knorr or maggi aroma. I would add 1 drop of either the insanity sauce or ghost pepper sauce. You don’t have to add the hot sauce because this is optional.
The brand name of these is called Dave’s gourmet hot sauce. There are 3 kinds which are, hurtin’ habenero , this one I don’t have but I have the other two. I have the insanity sauce and the ghost pepper. These are as hot as I wanted and I am not disappointed at all.
