Oh my God I just adore gnocchi. This is one of the first meals I had ever made for Mr. Riaz and he really loves it. I usually serve it with chicken caccitore which I will cover in the next recipe and it will be linked over to this recipe. Above I put the finished product as the main display picture because this is merely a serving suggestion.
I will post step by step pictures to so you can have an idea plus I am going to post a link to check out my instagram video of the gnocchi making in progress.

It starts as 4 to 6 potatoes I had boiled with enough water to cover the potatoes to boil them in their jackets for 45 minutes, drained and let cool then peeled and cut them in small pieces to prepare them to mash. I mashed and added 3 tbs of olive oil, 1 pinch of nido milk powder, 1 egg mixed and added 3 cups of all purpose unbleached flour and kneaded this in to a dough. If it feels too sticky add a handful or two of flour.
Take a pot and boil 1 gallon or 4 liters of water and let it come to a rapid boil.

here as described in this picture take a golfball sice dough and and take 1 handful of all purpose unbleached flour and sprinkle it on your surface. This is my work tray. I bought it from the dollar store a long time ago and I got a good deal for it it was 1 buck.
This keeps my counter clean and I love it. I shaped and rolled it in to a long log then either use a small knife to cut or use your fingers like I did and drop them in the boiling water.
Look at the link I posted for my instagram profile to see the video. When they float to the top, it means they are done.

This is how my gnocchi looks when it is done. Refer to title picture because that is the serving suggestion.
My favorite is eating it with chicken caccatore which is my favorite that I happily shared with Mr. Riaz and he loves it so much he be begging for this dish every time. 😀
So ladies it is time to go make this for either yourself if you are single or for your guy if you are married and if your husband wants to learn how to make this gladly teach him.
