I wanted some Chinese food again and this time I wanted beef fried rice. I made jasmine rice for this one and any type of rice can be used really. I am posting the link below on how to make just plain rice and then use that for this dish.
Just make the rice ahead of time first and set it aside for later then you are good to go. I also cut 1 lb or 1 kilo of beef in to small chunks, washed my pea pods because this is my veggie of choice. Any type of Chinese vegetable can be used for this dish and 1 scrambled egg is optional.
With the burner on high heat I added 1/4 cup of vegetable oil and 3 tbs of sesame oil in a hot wok or cast iron skillet. I added 5 chopped green onions then stirred, 3 cloves of garlic and 1 small piece of ginger that I washed and peeled then ground it in a mortar and pestle. I added the contents fom the mortar in to the wok or cast iron with the green onions then stirred.
I added 3 each dashes of maggi or knorr aroma, soy sauce and dark soy sauce, 1 pinch each of Curry Powder, red chili powder, 1 pinch of bullion powder or 1 bullion cube, white and black sesame seeds.
I added the meat first and fried it until it was completly done. I removed them and set them aside then I added the peapods and fried them just making sure that they still remain crispy then removed and set them side.
Here is the tricky part almost lol. I added the meat and veg and rice and fried it in batches and placed it in to a bowl to set aside. Repeat until there is nothing remaining. You may add a little sesame oil in the mean time while you are making the next batch and so on.
I hope you enjoy this dish.
