First of all I want to say to my readers and would be readers and followers of this blog, Happy New Year. This is my first post of 2017. I made this last night and it was very yummy. Let’s get cooking.
The yield is up to 10 chicken wings and it starts with me washing 10 chicken wings and adding 1/4 cup of corn or canola oil in a wok and fry in batches of 3 on low heat for for 7 minutes or until they are done. Just keep it covered and keep turning them every 2 minutes or so. This way they would cook evenly. Just make sure your oil is very hot before you cook your wings. Repeat until all of the wings are done.
In a bowl while you are waiting for the wings to cook on the stove add 2 tsp each of bead molasses which can be found at the store selling Chinese food, dark soy sauce, rice vinegar and sesame oil. Add 1 clove of garlic and 1 small piece of ginger washed peeled and crushed with a mortar and pestle until it is like a pulp. add 3 pinches of sesame seeds and 1 pinch of white pepper powder. Mix and coat the chicken wings that has been fried in oil on stovetop on a microwave safe container.
Make sure the wings has an even coating like you are applying barbecue sauce. This microwave safe container has a lid on so it can let out the steam. Cook for 1 minute let stand for 5 minutes and let cook for 1 minute so the sauce can set.
Carefully take the wings out of the oven and lifting off the lid so you do not get scalded and use an oven mit because it may be too hot to handle. Here it is and i hope you like it.
