Ah this one looked a lot better then the first one I made. The first one I made was tasty but I was not pleased with the photo and said next time I make this salad that I am going to post this.
Now the purely optional ingredients to me are not necessary like, 1 cup of macaroni, just make the macroni according to package directions, 1 potato which can be boiled for 30 to 40 minutes on stove top or if sliced before microwaving about 6 minutes. really it depends on microwave, 1 can of corned beef and 2 chicken eggs or 12 quail eggs hard boiled for 10 minutes. If you are using a can of quail eggs skip this step and just drain the eggs from the brine and store it in the fridge for when you want ot eat the salad.
Next you need baked beans and this goes on top of a salad that goes like this.
This salad is a combo of cooked and raw ingredients so bare this in mind and do not combine them until the last minute.
I used 1/4 cup each of corn a peas that was frozen. I put them in a bowl with a lid and stuck it in the microwave for 2 minutes.
I added 1 bell pepper of any color except red. I chose green this time. Also you can add 5 mini sweet peppers if they are available instead of the large bell peppers. I combined the peas and corn with the bell pepper, 1 head of Boston lettuce since It is very small. I have broken this in to tiny pieces. I added 1 half a head of cabbage cut in to tiny pieces. It can either be red or green. I added 1/2 of a bag of baby carrots. I did not cut them up because the heat made me feel lazy. Finally I added 1 tomato and mixed very well with my bare hands.
Everyone loves to eat out of my hands because not only is the food yummy they also know my hands are very clean as well. Plus I had to hurry up and dish this part of the salad up before my youngest daughter ate up all of the baby carrots cucumbers and bell peppers. I really couldn’t blame her at all.
I was not feeling like potato macaroni or corned beef in my salad tonight so I ended up with the salad itself then I added 3 tbs of mayonaise mixed in the salad, the beans on top and the quail eggs. Don’t worry chicken eggs are ok too.
If the eggs are fresh from the carton do not forget to remove the shells before you slice them and add them to the salad. Quail eggs are tiny so I left them whole.
Enjoy this refresing salad with an icy malt beverage.
