Here is something that is from my German roots at the same time this is also my own creation. I hope you will enjoy this very much. I was nearly out of time last night and didn’t take anything out of the freezer until last minute.
So I did not want a grumpy Mr. Riaz to come home and say hey I am hungry. It is a very short and simple recipe that involves just the basic ingredients. German food has always been simple, so hear it goes.
I turned on the heat on low and added 1/4 cup of olive oil. I chopped either 1 onion or shallot and fried until they was brown. I sliced 1 packet of zabiha halal knockwurst, chopped 4 potatoes and added them to the pot. I crushed 1 pinch of black peppercorns, added them to the pot and stirred. I added 1 pinch each of tarragon, parsley and dill weed.
I added 3 dashes of seasoned salt, 1 pinch of pink salt or vegtea seasoning can also be used in seasoned salt. I added 1 drop each of Worcestershile sauce and maggi or knorr aroma. This gets cooked for 15 minutes or until the potatoes are done.
