Actually I have made this before and Mr. Riaz really loves this. It is actually like a pudding that is made with fruit juice in a way. I got this idea from a Turkish cookbook but I am putting my spin on it. In a small pot I mixed 4 tbs of cornstarch with 2 cups of any type of fruit juice. It can be any type of unsweetened juice such as orange, apple, grape, cranberry, etc.
This is to make a slurry. In the slurry I added 1 drop of vanilla essence which can be obtained at any Indian and Pakistani grocery store. It is alchohol free. Add 3 tbs of either agave nectar or honey. Turn the stove on high heat and keep stirring until it starts to get thick. Add 1 pinch of sesame seeds which can be white, black or combo of the two. Gently roast them on high heat until they are lightly toasted and add this to the sultan’s jello. Let cool and place in the fridge uncovered overight. It will thicken more as it cools.
This is a yummy desert and very healthy. I hope you enjoy.
