Actually I do not have marinara sauce recipe posted on my Pinterest belive it or not. However this is the first time I made this and I carfully glanced at other recipes to see how this is done. This is my recipe for marinara sauce that is getting posted as of today after I get done writing this post.
This is solely my own recipe and It is almost like making spaghetti sauce and I am going to explain why because the sauce for spaghetti and other pasta dishes has either meat and or vegetables in it. I made this so it can go with our next recipe which is going to be linked over here. Actually I really outdid myself on this because I was not only licking and smacking my lips that I was almost eating my fingers as well.
As you can tell I really adore Italian dishes and this is no exception. You take 2 cloves of garlic, 1 onion or shallot, 1 tomato and give it like a rough chop and place it in the blender with 1/4 cup of water for ease of blending a little at a time and blend until it is a nice puree.
In a pot add 1/4 cup of olive oil and turn on to medium heat. Add the blended tomato mixture in to the pot and then season it like this. Add either 1 pinch of vegtea seasoning, or 3 dashes of seasoned salt, 3 dashes of balsamic vinegar, 1 pinch of either turbindano or coconut sugar or 1 broken piece of cinnamon stick and grind it in mortar and pestle if using with 1 pinch of black peppercorns then empty contents of mortar and pestle in to the sauce that is now forming, 1 bay leaf either 1 pinch of red pepper flakes or 1 red chili, 1 pinch each of parsley, thyme, rosemary, marjoram, basil, oregano, 1 can of tomato paste and 4 tomato paste cans of water.
Reduce sauce to low and let it cook for 5 minutes or until sauce thickens a little bit. This sauce even when chilled can be used to go with bread sticks and even mozzerella cheese sticks as well. I will see you in the next recipe for a post that this is requiring.
