When I was 13 years old I went to charm school. I really loved it and enjoyed it immensely. I had a ball learning new things.
I was sent to charm school because I love to play with makeup. I am not a beauty blogger but in charm school I learned that there are things in my own kitchen that I can turn them in to an instant beauty treatments like a face mask.
This helps soothe tone tighten smooth and refine your skin. This oatmeal honey mask is for combination skin for which I have.
Actually some of the other kids got very jealous of me because my skin was a lot clearer than theirs.
In charm school I also learned that certain foods is bad for your complexion such as hotdogs with all of their fillers, colas and chocolate was terrible too and because it caused acne.
I even graduated and certain cosmetics is bad for the skin too. This masking is done once or even twice a week and makes my face clear and soft as a baby’s bottom.
I have horrible allergies and this works wonders. I put this knowlage from charm school in use.
Even the social graces was taught too about how to get in and out of a car also.
The homemade face masks that was talked about was an egg facial where you take one egg beat it and put it all over your face.
The mashed avocado facial is great for dry skin. Actually I end up eating this before I get a chance to even put it on my face.
The oatmeal honey mask is 1 handful of plain raw oatmeal, this can also be ground in to a powder before getting made in to a mask so it doesn’t clog the drain, 1 tbs of honey, 1 tsp each of lemon juice and water, 1 pinch of dried flowers of choice or turmeric powder. Also you can take 1 tiny piece of turmeric root and grind and add to the oatmeal mixture. Burdock and goldenseal which you can buy from Whole Foods Market besides yarrow and yellow dock can be added because these also purify the skin.
The dried flowers are optional. Also just honey smeared all over your face is great for normal skin. These are perfect for people like me that has very sensitive skin.
I used arnica flowers. This is too toxic to take internally. Also this is perfect for external use only. The dried edible flowers like rose, lavender, chamomile and marigold are perfect.
Whatever you choose even boiling water to make a steam facial is great too because it opens clogged pores and really deep cleans which is the purpose of giving yourself a facial in the first place. Also it is great to pamper yourself in this manner.
Also I forgot something, oops. You can add 1 pinch of activated charcol to this mask too. This helps draw out any type of impurities in your skin. As with any type of face mask please do not apply to the eye area. Let it sit on your face for 20 minutes then rinse using just warm water on a clean wash cloth.
Some even say face towel. It is a good thing I did this before my youngest daughter has gone to work when I did this. If she was still here at home she would have picked on me by saying, “Hey Mamma you are wearing your breakfast on your face, lol.”
Besides I know she will have a field day. Please try this and tell me how you like this.
