Heys folks, how are you? Alhumduallah we have a new president and vice president and they are President Biden and Vice President Harris. I am happy about this election and that now the repugnacants are backing away from Douchebag Donnie. He even tried to stack the Supreme Court with his so called appointees to use them to overturn and steal the election. Haha Chump you played yourself this is one you can’t steal. Your ploy isn’t working and I am more then happy New York State is calling this orange moron out on his bullshit.
Now President Biden has a lot of work ahead of him to do especially starting with covid19 which Trump and his stupid chronies let get way out of control by ignoring the warnings. By the way to the State of New York thank you. I pray this stupid clown is soon behind bars where he belongs. With that off my chest I can now focus on this delicous recipe I am going to share with you.
INGREDIENTS LIST:
First of all if you are using chicken, beef, lamb, or veal and it has to be zabhiha halal. Halal means permitted in Arabic and zabiha is the blessing and praying over the animal before you cut its corotid artery and hang the animal upside down to let all of the blood out before finishing the job of butchering. It is roughly about 1 kilo or 1 lb of meat. This Is My First Time Smoking Meat is what you want to do in advance for smoking meat. Also you may want to add 2 smoked turkey tails.
- Take either 2 to 6 turnips or 1 rutabega since it is a rather large yellow turnip in a way and also equally delicious which has to be peeled washed and diced. After peeling just be sure to cut them in half and then each half cut in to half moon slices. and group those together and cut those half moon slices vertically then you have your chopped turnips or rutabega.
- 1 onion or shallot either sliced in to half moon slices or chopped the choice is yours.
- 1/2 gallon or 2 quarts of water.
- 2 cloves of garlic minced
- 1 pinch of black pepper corns ground in mortar and pestle
- 1 pinch of turbindano sugar
- either 3 dashes of seasoned salt or 3 pinches of vegtea seasoning
- 1/4 cup of either olive, corn, canola, vegetable, avocado, peanut, grapeseed, sunflower or safflower oil
- Either 1 bunch of fresh turnip greens cleaned or 1 bag frozen wich is the only optional ingredient.
METHODS ARE:
Here you can use either the regular stovetop pressure cooker or instant pot method. For the instant pot select the sauté function on high and add the oil of choice such as for instance you can use cooking oil of choice or add to stovetop pressure cooker. Add onion or shallot and cook until it turns brown then add garlic, the spices then cook a little more, the turnips or rutabega and let the spices. combine then add the turbidano sugar, the smoked meat of choice that has been made ahead of time or the smoked turkey tails and the water.
For the instant pot and the like select cancel and select pressure cooker function on high and place the pressure cooker lid or for regualr stovetop then close the lid and also the stovetop pressure cooker must be on high heat to fry the onions and also for pressure to build until the safety button pops up then reduce to medium heat and let cook for 30 minutes. The instant pot and the like is also at 30 minutes.
When time is up then turn off the heat of the stove and let the stovetop be until all of the pressure escapes. The instant pot will automatically let you know when time is up that it will sound a jingle and then shut off by itself. Press the quick release button to make the pressure escape. when the pressure is gone the safety button is down and you can safely open the instant pot. You can eat the rutabega or turnips as it is or if you wish add either the fresh turnip greens or add a bag frozen. Carefully open the stovetop pressure cooker and again turn on heat to high and add the turnip greens or for instant pot and the like again select sauté and add the greens and cover with glass lid and let cook for 15 minutes on both methods.
From here you can put on your plate and serve with either hot water bread or even cornbread which is so devine and heavenly. Please let me know in the comments or contact me all over other parts of social media to reach out to me. I welcome the feedback.
