Hey folks this is a really yummy post. I am going to tell you how I came about it and this idea came out of paper wrapped chicken and salt and pepper chicken so I have combined two ideas from my pins and I hope you like it. I have done it in my instant pot duo crisp because I do not want it to make my kitchen to go hot. For those that knows me very well, I have a sensitive tummy and the heat makes me sick to my stomach. So using my instant pot duo crisp is a big help when it is hot outside. Take 1 each of aluminum foil and parchment paper in big pieces like a foot or 38.48CM long will do. Just lay that to the side and make sure the parment paper is lying on top of the aluminum foil.
In a mixing bowl add 1 lb of chicken piecess and add 1 pinch each of msg and pink salt and or bullion powder or 1 bullion cube, basil, Chinese Five Spice My Way which is for one meal usage only. Empty the mortar and again grind in the mortar and pestle and add 1 pinch of peppercorns either white, green, pink, black or mixed, 1 tsp each of maggi or knorr aroma, sesame oil, Chinese black vinegar, rice vinegar or lychee vinegar, soy sauce or tamari, 3 cloves of garlic and 1 small piece of ginger crushed in mortar and pestle and empty for the last time, 3 green onions chopped and added to the chicken. Mix and add to the parchment paper on top of foil. Place your choice of 1/4 cup of Chinese vegetables, broccoli, carrots or any type of shroom of choice.
Place on parchment paper lined foil and fold the parchment paper first then the foil and place pot in pot method in the instant pot method with 2 cups of water for the water bath in the inner lining of the instant pot and the like in the instant pot and the like on a trivet. Select bake at 350F or 190C for 30 minutes using the air fry lid and add 1 tsp of cornstarch to 2 tsps of water to make a slurry to add to the chicken and by using a pair of tongs place the slurry all over the chicken and rewrapp the chicken and repeat for another 30 minutes until it is done.
This is a wonderful dish perfect with oolong tea and noodles or rice.
