I am doing another Arican fusion dish this time around and it involves my manzano chili sauce recipe. It gives it quite a bit of heat just like scotch bonnet and habenero but it is fruiter. Manzano Chili Sauce If using this yummy sauce then use 1 to 2 drops of it and you can buy manzano chilies in any store that sells food products from Mexico, Central America or South America
Preheat the oven to 350 F or 180 C
Click the link above to make your own manzano chili sauce if you wish and this is optional. I also have a suya paste recipe here in the blog.Suya Paste You can use this or use the store bought. If using store bought then add 2 to 3 pinches on some chicken breasts that has been washed and cut in to cubes. Also add 3 dashes of maggi or knorr aroma. You can add 1 drop of store bought chili sauce too which is also optional.
Thre is plenty of salt in the bullion that is used to make suya spice with along with the hot sauce. You do not need to add anymore salt.
Put them on metal skewers and place them on a foil lined cookie sheet. This foil is great for the speed of cleanup. You can bake it up to this point for 30 mintues and turn and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes or until they are done for indoor method,
Or if you want to fire up the grill on a nice day then you can go right ahead and use the grill and keep turning the skewers every 5 to 10 minutes until they are done for outdoor method.
Do not stop at just chicken. You can use lamb, beef, veal and goat for this recipe too.
