Oh my God last night I made baked chicken and the post coming up that is following, so stay tuned for that one. This is the first time I have made jerk chicken and I nailed it even the smell from all of the spices used is lingering in my house driving me crazy and I am openly salivating.
I say all of those nice warm spices are extremely inviting as well as mouth watering. I first preheated my oven to 350F or 180C. The next recipe link is right here because without this there would not be a such thing as jerk chicken. There are three ways you can do this is either broil bake or grill it.
it is 1 lb or 1 kg of assorted chicken pieces or 1 whole chicken if you wish. If you are using a whole chicken the only option is to bake it. The pieces of chicken can be baked, grilled or baked. After I had washed off my chicken I applied 3 dashes of maggi or knorr aroma on it then the jerk paste and the link for the recipe is above. ^^^^^^^
For the whole chicken, spray a medium sized roasting pan with cooking spray and add the chicken seasoned with jerk seasoning cover and let bake for 30 minutes and turn. Keep cooking this at 30 minute intervals until it is done. With the chicken pieces I put in a cast iron skillet sprayed with cooking spray and baked at 30 minute intervals and turning along the way until they are done. For grilling and broiling it is for 10 minute intervals and turning along the way until this too is done.
When this is done and you do not know what to do with the drippings with all of this yummy spicy seasoning that it can be used in the next recipe coming right up just for extra flavor so see you right there.
