I remember when I was very young in high school that I would love to try to see how other cans of fish other then just tuna tasted when made this way. I used a can of mackeral to make mackeral salad and a can of salmon to make salmon salad and I liked what I was tasting on my tastebuds. Yet I also wanted something to fill my belly and I got tired of eating bread all of the time. So another way was with pasta.
It can be made with any type of pasta. and I wanted this because it was more filling and satsfying then with bread or crackers. Set a pot on the stove to come to a rapid boil. It is 1 gallon or 4 liters of water and prepare the pasta according to package directions.
I put a lid over the pot to help it come to a rapid boil faster before adding the pasta and I sprinkle 1 pinch of pink salt and add 1 tsp of olive oil to the pot and as soon as the pasta is in the pot then give it a stir to keep it from sticking. Cover slightly and let it boil for 20 minutes. Drain in a colander and rinse and put back in the pot. The rest of the ingredients you can add right to the cooked pasta itself.
Open 1 can of salmon drain and add it to the posta then stir and breaking up the fish. Add 1 cup of frozen vegetables. They can be corn, mixed veg or other types of other frozen vegetables to a bowl and microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Just tap on the microwave 130 and start. After they are cooked then you can add to pasta mixture.
Add 1 pinch each of black peppercorns and mustard seed to mortar and pestle and grind in to a coarse powder which is added too. In a mortar and pestle crush 2 cloves of garlic, 1 onion or shallot chopped, 3 pinches of parsley or cilantro, 1 drop each of liquid smoke and hot sauce, 1 tsp of capers, 3 dashes of either adobo, seasoned salt or 3 pinches of vegtea seasoning, 3 dashes of lemon pepper, 3 pinches of dill weed, 5 tbs of mayonnaise and give it a mix making sure it is all mixed in and well coated. Add two hard boiled eggs chopped which is purely optional, 1 pinch of paprika for garnish.
