Actually I had some filling left over from the last post just now recently lol. So I am going to post some links and it will take you right there.
Stuffed Karela Veg And Non Veg for the filling, How To Make Dough For Chapati, Paratha, Puri And Katlima then roll out the dough and follow the potato filling directions ot the stuffed karela post.
Make sure you have any more potato filling left before making this. If not boil 3 medium or large potatoes before following the potato only directions for filling. The last post I only used olive oil but you can use also for this one oils of peanut, corn canola, sunflower, safflower, coconut also or 3 pats of butter or 1 tsp of ghee in the filling, the dough flat like you are making chapati and dredge the dough in to flower if need be. I use chakki atta (wheat flour). It is because it is more healthy.
Take a small handful of the potato mixture and form it in to a ball. It should be golf ball size. Place it in the middle of the dough and fold it by folding it towards the center to cover up the filling. Start from the bottom then top then at the sides. If it looks like a square then this is ok because it is an easy way to do it.
Roll in to a ball then flatten it with the palm of your hands a little then dredge in atta again and grentley flatten and shape with a rolling pen then place on a very hot tawa (griddle). Use your oil of choice or if you want put a small bit of ghee or butter on top. Please do not use a lot. With oil I suggest add 1 tsp is sufficiant. My choice was coconut oil and it turned out delicious.
Serve this with a meal chai time especially with either kava or chai in the winter and in the summer with lassi. It can be enjoyed also with yogurt chutney or even achar.
