A Very Useful Kitchen Gadget

Actually I found something on Amazon called a steam diverter and this one is very reasonable and does its job quite nicely.

This is what these steam diverters looks like and the main function is to protect your cabinets from the excess steam. Also how to use is you place these on top of the instant pot and the like multi functional cooker and Amazon has the sizes of which steam diverters you want to purchess. Actually I bought several of these and they come apart for easy cleaning.

How do I use this???? It has to be rightside up and it is after the instant pot lets you know it is done pressure cooking. You place this right on top of the steam vent right after the multi functional cooker shuts off. This will help release the pressure and you will hear a hissing sound which means it is working. Never place this on the vent while it is cooking. This is only for use when it is finished cooking. Also you can press the rapid release button and the steam is going to be in another direction.

For safety precautions, please never aim this right at you because this is very hot steam and you do not want to get scalded. My instant pot duo crisp is on the counter right by my sink and I have the steam diverter pointing right in direction of my sink for my own safety.
