Hello this is another creation of mine that can be made in many ways I made this with some of the spices and herbs I have perchased on Amazon and there are lots of yummy choices. that you can even mix and match to whatever that is to your liking because not everyone likes the same thing. This can be made from whole grains of any type and pasta too which is actually made from a type of grain called wheat. But if you are using this instead of the whole grain just place 1 whole box in the inner lining of the instant pot and add some water over it and just make sure it barely covers the pasta and select pressure cook for 10 minutes. Place the steam diverter over the steam valve and press quick release and being very careful that the fluid doesn’t squirt all over the place.
The grains that can be used which are quinoa which I used there is also fonio, fareekeh, barley, teff, millet, rice, rye kernals, sorghum, wheat berries, steel cut oats, amaranth, bulgar, couscous or buckwheat and the yeild is 1 cup. This also depends on what you have on hand and what your tastes prefer.
The cooking oils I have at my arsenal are corn, canola, olive, grapeseed, peanut, sunflower, safflower, avocado or vegetable which I would use 1/4 of a cup in the instant pot in sautè function on high. Add either 1 onion or shallot cut in to half moon slices, 3 cloves of garlic or chopped if you prefer.
Every type of green either 1 bunch that is fresh that is cleaned very well or 1 bag of frozen. You can use other types of vegetables too as well and it is according to your taste. I was in a mood for spinach.
The protein of choices are 1 package zabiha halal hotdogs or sausages, 1 can of zabiha halal lunchmeat or corned beef, 6 slices of either zabiha halal turkey or beef bacon, 1 lb or l kg of either lamb, chicken, turkey, veal, goat , chicken gizzards, shrimp or 1 can of canned fish or seafood in their oil or brine. I think I had some chicken breast so I used that.
The seasoning is and it is a matter of taste. I got some smoked sea salt so I added 1 pinch, I added the same amount of celery seed, black, green, white and pink peppercorns mixed in my mortar and pestle and ground them in to a coarse powder. You can also add either 3 dashes of goya seasonador, adobo, seasoned salt or 3 pinches of pink salt, vegtea seasoning or other seasoning powder or 1 bullion cube, 3 dashes of maggi or knorr aroma. The herbs I would use depending on my taste would be 1 pinch each thyme, marjarom, basil, oregano, sage, rosemary, parsley, tarrogan, chervil, lovage, dill and or savory.
From here I would add either one of the 4 1 pinch of chili powder, paprika, 1 chili of any kind deseeded and chopped, 1 drop of hot sauce or 1 cup of shreded cheese with chilies in it. If using cheese with hot peppers avoid this. Now the tougher cuts of meat first is you need to add 3 cups of water after you have seasoned this then pressure cook on high for 25 minutes and again place the steam diverter and press quick release button. After this add your grain and veg of choice and cover and pressure cook on high for 15 minutes. Or if you are using the canned zabiha halal lunchmeat, fish, turkey or beef bacon which gets fried if using at sautè function along with the onion and garlic mixture. Also if using pasta instead of the whole grains then you can add this in as well or cook the tougher meat with the vegetables if you are using pasta or whole grains.
Now for the final part is the sauce which is in a small bowl add 1/4 cup of nido, 4 tbs of either cornstarch or arrowroot starch powder, 1/4 cup of water, either 3 pats of butter or Desi butter ghee and 1 handful any cheese of any type just as long as it also says vegetable rennet, enzymes which are mircorbial and made in a lab. If it has animal rennet in it then we all need to stay away from it including myself, if you are using cheese with hot peppers then there is no use to use any type of chili or hot sauce in this dish This mixture gets mixed in to a nice creamy and lump free blend and add to the contents in the instant pot and stir. If you don’t have grated cheese on hand then it is fine to use the cheese powder too and now press the slow cook button on high for 2 hours.
The creamy sauce will form this way and then take the air fryer lid and select bake for 316 for 10 minutes. This is a truly amazing meal I swear and you can use what you have available around the house, I hope you love it as much as we do, cheers.
