Actually recently I just got my dna results in and I got in contact with a couple of cousins from my mom’s side of my family. One was a Pennsylvania Dutch connection and one of our ancestors fought in the American Civil War in the Union Army I am so happy another one of my family and a dna reletive fought for our freedoms. I even have all of the info from a cousin who has direct contact to Pfortzheim, Germany where my mom is from and gave me a lot more info then I can ask for. I really want to say thank you. The two so called brothers I have did not give me any of the info I have asked for at all whatsoever and I really believe are frauds. Again to my dna I thought I was just German and it said I am 2% Nieanderthal, 95.3 % Northwestern European and French and German with 3.9% southern European which is also Italian, 0.4% of Ashkanazi Jewish with a trace of 0.4% of Leventine.
I am really astounded about this finding and pleased with my results especially that. All except I do not have a Y chromasome and therefore I have no paternal hapologroup. My haplogroup is maternal. It almost made me feel as my dad wants people to think that I am a bastard and that really is not the case because my parents were married when they had me and therefore I am not a bastard. Actually. I really started to love sour things as I have gotten older compared to when I was younger. I have always loved tamarind which is a sour taste and this is why I made this sherbat so I can have it to break my fast.
This is a little different because the first two involves boiling hot water while this one involves room temperture water and using a blender. First take 1 great big huge pinch of tamarind paste which comes in these huge blocks in many stores. The Mexicans, Indian and Pakistani sells these and it is so easy to get. Please keep going to these type of stores because this is where you can find the best items. Add 1/4 cup of any type of citrus juice and freshly squeezed is perfered to the pitcher and empty the huge tumbler with softened tamarind and the water that it has been soaking in, either 4 packets of stevia or 1/4 cup of monk fruit sweetner, coconut sugar, turbindano sugar, sugar free syrup, rice syrup, honey or a agave nectar in a cup of hot water. Stir to disolve and add 1 pinch each of black salt, dried mint, 1 pinch each of cumin and cracked coriander seeds in mortar and pestle grind and add then take an immersion blender and blend the contents in the pitcher then add 2 more cups of water stir again and place in fridge to chill. wonderful to drink for iftar and I hope you enjoy it.
