Actually as you can tell I was hungry and this is a spur of the minute post Actually it really tasted great and it was almost souffle like and this recipe doesn’t call for cream of tartar because it isn’t required.
Perfect for breakfast and or brunches which is breakfast food served around lunch time. However this can be seasoned according to how you like.
In a mixing bowl add between 4 to 4 tsps of egg white powder and 1/2 cup of water which I did or buy just plain old liquid egg whites and add this to a bowl and beat on low until frothy. The powder if using shouldn’t be lumpy.
Add 1 pinch of any type of salt such as pink salt, bullion powder, the smoked, chili infused, I used the Trinidad scorpion kind this time, vegtea seasoning adobo, goya seasonador, lemon pepper, seasoned salt, your choice of any type of herb and mix well and there is a small cast iron skillet I use only for eggs. To make it swing African you can add either 1 pinch of red chili powder or African yellow chili powder with sent leaf or basil with 1 pinch of crayfish and uziza seeds ground and add palm oil on top when fished.
Even peppercorns of any color and celery seed can be used also. Just grind it in mortar and pestle. spray the cast iron skillet with cooking spray and add the egg white mixture on low heat on stovetop on low heat.
I seen it puff up and rise and I seen it was done and I took my wooden spoon and flipped it. I let it cook for a couple more minutes and flipped it on to my bowl.
Here you can add whatever you want for topping like any type of vinegar like balsamic, malt, tarragon infused, lychee, cane vinegar, white vinegar, apple cider vinegar, Chinese black vinegar, wine vinegar, again don’t spaz please. Mufti Menk even addressed this issue when wine is made: now hang on; after the wine is made and goes bad and becomes vinegar and the alcohol is gone at this point. Oh don’t forget to add 3 dashes of maggi or knorr aroma if you want to.
Mufti Menk’s videos are informative and he is a respected Islamic scholar almost like Ahmed Deedat. I met Ahmed Deedat and he was my teacher.
You can add either a dollop of either mayonnaise, sour cream, cream cheese, plain yogurt, caviar or even hot sauce. Even topping it with 1 pat of butter too because the cooking spray is tasteless.
