This is my personal recipe I made up myself. When I was a kid I never tasted the cocoa mixes as good as this their flavor is lame. I told my husband I used to use two packets and he said it was too much. The reason why it looks very light because I used more milk then cocoa because he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to get any shut eye and he had to get up early.
Ingredients: 3 tbs Hershey’s powdered cocoa that is strictly for baking there is no sugar added at all it is not a pre sweetened mix I either use this or the special dark one. Since this was for my hubby so I didn’t use the special dark he is not a dark chocolate lover.
1 drop vanilla essence this you can find in any Pakistani store it is free from alcohol.
1 tbs of either agave honey or turbinado sugar I used agave.
1 cup of milk
1/4 cup water
1 pinch of cinnamon (optional)
Method: I used the sauce pan. First I added water and let it come to a full boil.
I added what I prefer then agave and let it dissolve. I gave it a good stir and added a drop of vanilla essence, a pinch of additional cinnamon and cocoa, stirred and added milk. I boiled till it all combined and got very creamy. I poured it in mugs and we enjoyed it. It is perfect on a very cold day like today and very comforting.
