Ok this is an unwritten recipe in my family until now. It is based on a Peshawari pakora recipe.
Ok in a cast iron or other type of skillet add 1/4 cup of vegetable oil because it is time for the shallow fry bit again.
I put 1/4 cup of besan (chickpea flour) in a bowl and added 1/2 cup of water adding a little at a time and stirring as I go until I got a batter. I added 1 pinch each of anar dana, coriander seeds, ajwan and 1 pinch each of pink salt, red chili powder, turmeric.
Stir to combine. Buy these at any Indian and Pakistani grocery store.
This can be used for any type of fish. I used whiting here and dipped it in to the batter and carefully placed them in hot oil and fried them until they are golden brown.
It should take at least 10 minutes which is 5 minutes on each side then add it to a plate lined with paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
