Ok I have completely changed one recipe that I looked up and it was one of my pins on Pinterest again. I am tying to come up with new Ideas and those pins are a motivator.
First I added my dried ingredients. I added 5 pinches of all purpose unbleached flour and 2 pinches of nido milk powder. Then came the wet stuff. I added 1 egg, 1 tsp of the chermoula and mixed very well. I add 2 tsp of water and mixed and set aside.
I had some fresh sardines with me and this is how I prepaired them. I snatched the heads off of each fish and cut their belly so I can empty that cavity of their insides. It is smelly and someone got to do it and that is me. I added the fish that I cleaned 3 at a time to the chermoula infused batter then added 1/4 of a cup of corn oil to my cast iron skillet and fried them til they are done and the outside golden brown.
I had some batter left over and didn’t want to waste it so I opened up a can of crab meat and added it to the batter. I mixed to combine and added 2 slices of wheat bread which I had crumbled in to tiny pieces where it resembeled bread crumbs.
I was so disappointed that it didn’t work so I added 3 pinches of rice flour and maggi or knorr aroma. This time when I did stir to comebine I was pleased with the outcome.
I fried in the oil in the pan until they were brown on both sides up to 3 at a time until they were all done and I drained them on paper towel.
So far here in my house we love them and I hope you do too.
