I used to go to a restaurant called Ghreeb Nawaz here in Chicago to have a gyro paratha. However it was dripping with oil and they would put masala in the gyro meat and this is not a way to eat gyros at all. Also their gyro parathas does not look no where as good as mine to be very honest with you.
This is a very simple way to do this and the yield for this is 4. You need to make the dough and then to make paratha. I then cut the vegetables that I needed in to slices. I washed and cut 1 of each onion, tomato, green chili and cucumber.
Sorry the cucumber disapeared in to my youngest daughter’s tummy. Lol 😀 this is too funny. I had bought some zabiha halal gyro meat at the store. After I put my groceries away I split it up in to 3 bags. I put 2 in the freezer. With this one I fried this one 3 or 4 pieces at a time until it was cooked. I put the 4 pieces of gyro meat on a plate lined with paper towel.
I added 2 tsps of plain yogurt on the paratha and arranged the gyro meat which was about 5 ot 6 pieces of meat for each paratha then add 2 slices each of onion, tomato, green chilies, and cucumbers then roll. Here what you have is almost like a sandwich. Also you can set the cucumber slices on the side and enjoy it like that too.
Here it is, enjoy.
