I am a huge fan of Brussels sprouts. They look like tiny cabbages and honestly they are in the brasican family. I am getting a fit of the giggles because during the time I have been playing runescape and I see my player character eats cabbage, I see in my chat box yuck, lol. On the contrary I really love cabbage just as long it is not turned in to the sweet and sour red cabbage or saur kraut.
This to me is hillarious because I am a German. I also am a foodie.
I took out my huge cast iron skillet and added 3 tbs of corn oil and 1 bag of frozen Brussles sprouts. Fry them on low heat until it is carmelized. I added 1 tbs of sesame oil, 2 cloves of garlic and 1 small piece of ginger peeled chopped. I cooked until the rawness of the garlic and ginger went away. I added either 1 tbs of panzu, tamari, dark soy or light soy sauce.
I stirred and added {1/4 tsp of either crab paste, shrimp paste or fish sauce which is purely optional.} I left this last part optional because in case vegans want to try out this recipe too.
