Let me give you a rundown of what zatar is. Zatar is used in garnishing some dishes like baba ghanouj, foul, humus. It is also sprinkled in to olive oil so you can dip your pita bread in it. In this case I used this in the next recipe coming straight up.
I have had the ready made zatar but I perfer making my own. The recipe is a very easy and quick one. It is 1 pinch each of pink salt, thyme, sumac, and white sesame seeds, combine this in a mortar and pestle and then use this for part of the next recipe and I hope you will enjoy this in the final days of Ramadan.
