Do you remember the post I did for the dough to make chapati, paratha, puri and katlima? In case you don’t I am going to post a link below because you need this before making the chapati.
How To Make Dough For Chapatti, Paratha, Puri And Katlima
After you make the dough from the link I had posted above then you can go ahead and heat up your tawa. A tawa is a griddle. Take lemon size balls of the dough and put them on a plate with 2 cups of flour and put it in a bowl so you can have them for dusting.
Flatten the dough and roll in to a round flat shape on a hot tawa for 20 seconds on each side until they are all done. Just turn them every 20 seconds. Also it is very important that the tawa is hot because this keeps the chapati from sticking. Also chapatis are made with no oil so bare that in mind.
Please forgive me that I made this a separate posts. I just wanted to tell you on now important it is to have a nice dough because you need this for making awesome chaptis.
Stay tuned because parata post is next.
