Pinchos
Actually I have been wanting to try making pinchos almost forever. I used to go to a gym by North Av and California. There was this Puerto Rican guy outside making pinchos. Pinchos is a Peurto Rican kabab and oh so tasty. I am going to give you a walkthrough on how I made it. Besides they are so yummy I can not pass them up because mine are zabiha halal.
Take 1 lb or kg of either beef, boneless chicken breast, veal, lamb or even goat and wash with water to clean. Add 3 dashes of wine, balsamic apple cider, cane or even white vinegar, 2 pinches of shan meat tenderizer or 1 piece of green papaya which does the same thing, 1 pinch each of cumin and black peppercorns in mortar and pestle to grind in to a coarse powder, this gets added to the meat along with 1 packet of sazon, 3 dashes of adobo, 2 tbs of olive oil and mix.
Add 2 cloves of garlic to the mortar and pestle and crush and add to the meat an mix again. Cover with the lid and let marinate in the fridge to catch all of the flavors for 1 hour, put on skewers and then grill for between 30 to 40 minutes turning every 10 minutes or until they are done.
Actually these are awesome and tastes great. We had it with boiled yucca with the mojo that I made to go with the mofongo on an earlier post. You can even have this to eat with rice or even bread if you wish.
Also excellent to enjoy a nice ice cold bottle of malta too if you wish. Cheers!!!!
