You are not going to believe this at all. I never ate a Monty Cristo sandwich before until just a few minutes ago.
They are real easy to make and I looked it up on YouTube on how to make them. So I said to myself I am going to make this for my blog the very next chance I get.
I never eaten them out of a restaurant either. I took 2 pats of butter and melted it in a skillet.
While that melted I cracked 1 large egg in to a bowl and added 4 tbs of milk and beat the egg mixture to combine with either a wisk or a fork.
I took 4 slices each of bread, cheese and zabiha halal balogna, mortadella, salami, cured turkey thigh meat, or turkey slices.
The balongna, salami and mortadella are made from beef, chicken, or turkey. They have them at the halal store. Any type of cheese slices and bread can be used.
Just be careful and read ingredients before you buy. Assembly is take each slice of bread and spread either mustard or mayonnaise on one slice, add 1 piece of cheese, 2 pieces of zabiha halal coldcuts of your choice and you can mix and match, another piece of cheese and add spread either mayonnaise or mustard then place on top to make sandwich.
Gently place in egg mixture and turn and repeat with the other side. Place in skillet and fry on each side til golden and cheese has melted. Flip and cook on the other side. With next sandwich repeat and enjoy.
