Sugar Free Banana Pudding

Actually next to sweet potato pie this banana pudding is the most favorite of the typical southern deserts popular here in the United States. Homemade Vanilla or Chocolate Custard Etc. The link to your left is what you need to make for this banana pudding plus there is an image on the left of the side to side comparison is what I used for this wonderful desert. When I was done with it and you have to believe me when I say this that it did not last too long because the majority ended up in Mr. Riaz’s stomach. He just couldn’t get enough.
With deserts even if they are sugar free you still have to proceed with caution. I am diabetic and I am cautious especially it has a lot of carbs and I have to be careful. So I made the custard first and I used agave nectar. Take 3 bananas and slice them thinly and set aside. Now before I used homemade cookies when I made banana pudding and this is a long time ago. However this little box of sugar free digestive biscuits works beautifully for this lovely desert.
When you have the custard made and the bananas peeled and sliced then I can proceed to open the box of the sugar free digestive biscuits. The British and former British colonies calls cookies biscuits. the original banana pudding contains vanilla wafers and I can’t find any that are halal. When you use something that has anything coming from haram or forbidden sources in food stuffs then it is not halal or permitted at all. This is why I chose these sugar free digestive biscuits.
I had to hide the box on Mr. Riaz so he would not try to eat them before I can get the banana pudding made. Now the assembly is just like making a lasagna. Also do not forget to add 1 tsp of lemon juice to the bananas to keep them from turning brown and give it a mix and again set it aside. This is supposed to be done as soon as you slice the bananas.
Take a container like a tupperware with a lid and line the bottom with sugar free digestive biscuits and then the custard on top of that and the bananas next which they have to be an even level of everything and repeat until you get to the top where the bananas are the last to be on top as always and place in the refridgerator to chill. This is a perfect desert all the way around. I hope you will like it as much as we did.
