This is another simple dish but this one is my way. Some put sugar in it and I don’t. I don’t like it and it is all wrong in my book. I never put sugar in my slaw. The slaw itself draws its natural sweetness alone from the raw carrots and raw cabbage. Also this is a very basic recipe and it goes very fast. You will need a grater and grate coarsely or the food processor which makes it faster the choice is yours I use my food processor.
Grate 1 half head of cabbage to the whole head if you like. Cutting the cabbage and carrots in to small chunks is a large help and it is recommended most highly. Grate 3 to 4 carrots. Picking the tiny pieces at a time using the grater or food processor the choice is yours. Mix 4 to 5 tbs of mayonnaise in to the shredded mixture of carrots and cabbage and you are done. This is a perfect salad for fried chicken or any type of fried fish and can be eaten with another side too potato salad.
