Eggplant With Kalounji

Kalounji is a black seed and some say it is an onion seed. They are sold in many Pakistani and Indian stores. Kalounji is also an ingredient for making achar (pickle).
It is also very medicinal and it is good for everything. Prophet Mohamad, Sallah Allahi Wasalam, (Peace Be Upon Him) used this for his medicine. Please get the book The Medicine Of The Prophet, (Sallah Allahi Wasalam). About the blessing this is a respect we give all of our prophets including Isa (Allah Salam), Otherwise known as Jesus by many.
There are lots of medicinal things in the kitchen and kalounj is one of them. I sliced up to 10 baby eggplants, depending on how many people are eating and set them aside in a bowl. In a pot I added 1/4 cup of olive oil, 1 pinch of hing, 1 pinch of kalounji. 1 onion or shallot sliced and added it the oil and caramelized them. I added 1 pinch each of
Curry Powder and pink salt. I sitrred, added 1 green chili, the eggplant I had cut earlier and cooked until it was very soft and catching all of the masala ( spices). I added 1 tbs of tomato paste and 1/4 cup of water turned it on low and cooked until the sauce thickened and stirring in between.
Serve with rice or chapati.
