Runescape Themed Potatoes With A Twist

I have been playing Runescape for omg, it seems like ages already. I started to play after I was very ill and had 2 big surgeries in a row. I started to play in 2008 on ftp meaning free to play for short. about 6 months later I started my membership in 2009 because of sheer bordom and I wanted a bigger bank space. Lol, go figure. This post is for my fellow Runescapers in and out of the game of Runescape.
I got this Idea from a friend that used to do the Runescape cooking IRL, meaning in real life, His character name is Geese Go Moo. He is very awesome and what he whips up is amazing. Even if you do not play Runescape, please check out his videos in YouTube? He is a kindred spirit that also loves to cook. He also had won a golden gnome award and has made a quest point cake at Jagex Studios. Jagex is the owner and developer of Runescape. Runescape is a game of combat and skills for those that is not familiar with the game.
Since I like spicy food a lot as you can tell I am doing my version of this Runescape inspired yummy. For the record, Geese Goes Moo has deserts to die for, so please even if you do not play Runescape check out his videos.
Without further adeu I’m presenting to you my recipes for these potatoes. I am starting with the high healing in game of tuna potato. This combo is also very filling in the real.
It starts off with 3 potatoes. You can either microwave it for 10 minutes after washing it very well to get the dirt off. Please keep the jackets on. Microwave for 10 to 12 minutes, or boil for 45 minutes with pot covered on medium heat for 45 minutes. You will need 1 qt or 1 liter of water for stove top only. Cook until soft.
You can mash the potato at this point with a fork and add either 1 pat of butter or 2 oz of olive oil. I prefer the olive oil because it is healthier. The Runescape potato uses butter and it is in the cooking skill to make. Now for the chili option I have a recipe for homemade chili. Leftover homemade chili is great for this. My Famous Homemade Chili
Please refer to the link above. Now for the others, you have to season it with your choice of seasoning and add it to the potato. For the tuna and sweet corn option, I added 3 shakes of lemon pepper and 1 pinch of mixed herbs. I added 1/4 cup of frozen whole kernal corn to the potatoes in the bowl then put it back in the microwave for 1 minute. I added 1 can of tuna in water that has been drained after I took the corn and potatoes out of the microwave. I added 1 can of tuna in water that I have drained. I mixed it in there with the potatoes and corn and added 1 tsp of balsamic vinegar.
For the cheese potato do the same as above with the cooked potatoes and add your cheese of choice to the potato by adding 2 slices cut or torn in to tiny pieces add or 1 small chunk of cheese grated and pop in to the microwave until It has melted. This would take about 1 minute.
For the tomato and egg on high heat, add 2 oz of olive oil, take 1 onion or shallot and fry until it is brown, do not forget the potato has been seasoned already. Add 1 totmato that has been chopped and cook it down till it is a mush then add to the potato. Wash the pan and spray with cooking spray and crack the egg and add the egg to the pan and fry the egg to how you like then add to potato and give it a mix and enjoy. I added 1 drop of hot pepper sauce of my choice on the potatoes except for the chili topping and this is purely optional.
For mushroom and onion topping: melt 1 pat of butter or add 1 oz of olive oil then fry 1 onion or shallot until it is brown and sautƩ mushrooms. Add balsamic vinegar and seasonings of your choice then add that to the potato.
If you just want a potato with butter, add 1 pat of butter to the potato and season it to how you like or skip the butter for healthy olive oil add 1 oz of olive oil to potato.
Happy I hope everyone will enjoy this very much because it is a tasty and satisfying lunch or dinner item or even for breakfast. Please let me know in the comments below?
This is the cheese option.
The picure below is the fried onion and mushroom option.
