BBQ Keema Sandwiches

Actually I have arranged what is suggested to go along with the sandwich itself. The pickles, olives and chips. I want to also let you know that you can put whatever you want as a side for the sandwich itself if you want like raw vegetables.

First the sandwich itself has be be made. The barbecue sauce has to be made ahead of time. If you feel this is too much then you can have the store bought one if this is too much work for you. My youngest loves sweet baby rays and I know others loves open pit.

In a skillet on high heat add 1 oz of olive oil, 1 onion or shallot cut in to half moon slices. Stir until the onion or shallot turnes brown. Add either 1 bullion cube, 3 dashes of pink salt, vegtea seasoning, seasond salt or adobo. Add 1 kg or 1 lb of keema. It is also spelled queema which translates in to ground meat or mince in Urdu.

Mind you this has a desi name to it. Desi means someone that is either from India or Pakistan and yet there is nothing Desi about this sandwich at all. Now days there are many Pakistanis that want fast food and not even stay at home and eat their food their mom’s cooks.

The mince that is used is either chicken, beef, veal, turkey, lamb or goat for the non veg crowd and for the crowd that is either veg or even vegans can use 1 bag of Morningstar Farms crumbles. Add this to the onion or shallot mixture and fry until these are completely brown then you can add the sauce and turn on low and let it cook for 5 minutes.

Arrange this on French or Italian bread. Here in Chicago we get Turano and Ganolla bread. also if you wish take 1 slice of cheese and break it in half and you can use any type of cheese you wish. Vegetarians and vegans can use soy cheese or another type of vegan cheese by Dyia brand which is soy free and more delicious. If you don’t want to heat it up it is ok and also if you want to that is ok too then you can take the sandwich if you want to for 10 seconds in microwave so the cheese melts.
