Curry Powder

Hey y’all I had some ready made curry powder in my kitchen cupboard for ages and when I ran out I decided not to buy anymore ready made store bought ever again. I looked up here online for recipes on how to make curry powder and I pinned these to my pinterest. I looked at all of these recipes from other bloggers and I said I am going to give it a try. So here is my version and I hope you will love it.

In mortar and pestle I added 1 pinch of daggad phool (stone flower) which I bought from a 3rd party seller in Amazon from a 3rd party seller from India which is the only optional ingredient due to its availability. The rest are manditory and this is now it goes add 1 each small broken piece of cinnamon stick, strand of mace, small green cardamom, clove, whole dried red chili, 1 pinch each of seeds of cumin, mustard, coriander, black peppercorns, fennel and fenugreek, grate some dried ginger and nutmeg equal to a pinch and add 1 pinch each of turmeric and red chili powders.

Mix and grind the whole spices until it blends in with the rest of the contents in the mortar and pestle. This is an amazing masala and tastes great because it is freshly made and this is for single recipe uses only.

The list goes on etc. and of course I love latamore and luther vandros, the beatles, rolling stones and Yusef Islam is also one of the greatest voices and Allah blessed them all with such great talents.
