The Many Faces of Stuffed Burgers
Who has had pizza burgers as a hot lunch at your school? I did when I was in the 8th grade. Yes at my age I can really remember back that far. There is a Pakistani version called chapli kabab. I did the post of the real McCoy from Peshawar on an earlier post. If you want to make this go look it up. This is about the pizza burger and other types of the American gastronamy and not Pakistani.
You will need 1 lb or kg of mince of beef, lamb, chicken, goat, veal or even turkey. Season it with seasoning of choice. I will let it hang right there because it depends on what you may have available in your house. Add 1/4 cup of panko, 1 egg after you place your mince in a sieve and rinse it to remove the blood. Shake all of the moisture out. Add 1 handful of greated cheese and mix very well.
Again this is your choice on what you want to go in to your burger. You can even use chopped up zabiha halal turkey or beef bacon too. For lactose Intolerant people, it is possible you can add grated vegan cheese to this instead of regular cheese. I added cheddar because I was in a mood for it. Grated vegetables is also an option for this recipe too. Add 3 tbs of grated carrot, zucchini or Italian yellow squash. Also you can add if you wish a drop of hot sauce, 3 dashes of maggi or knorr aroma, worcestershire sauce or perhaps a dab of marmite too if you wish.
Now for the Pizza burger bit you will need Marinara Sauce made in advance and use italian seasonings like 1 pinch each of thyme, oregano, basil, rosemary, marjarom. And the cheese here can be any Italian cheese will do. Grate and add to ground meat mixture, Add 1 pinch of salt too for this one.
Shape in to patties and select air fry on all burgers for 20 minutes in the instant pot with the air fryer lid attached. This is a pot in pot method with a small baking dish made for instant pot on a trivet and make sure you have 2 cups of water in inner lining. Place the silpat that is small enough to go in this tiny thing or use parchment paper. This way you do not have to babysit the burgers on the stove and they cook all the way through without turning them.
Again back to pizza burger you need to take the patties that has been stuffed with Italian cheeses and seasoned with Italian seasoning and place them inside of the marinara sauce and add another slice of the Italian cheese you used on top and let it melt and the sauce thicken.
