Instant Pot Slow Cooked Poultry And Vegetables

I am double dog tired because I did some housework and I didn’t feel like grinding any spices. I decided to throw everything in my instant pot and call it a day.
I swept and took a wet mop to my floors because they were in a dire need. Plus I took some chicken down last night and also wanted broccoli.
Actually you can add any type of poultry and veggies you want and season them how you want to.
You can even use a whole chicken if you desire. I checked and there are some posts regarding cornish hen. Besides chicken you can also add quail and because they are so tiny you will need About 6 or more. A quarter of a turkey like a breast and wing or a leg and thigh, a capon which is a castrated rooster, goose or perhaps a duck too.
For vegetables of choice you can use besides broccoli, celery, celeriac which is celery root, any type of greens, corn, tomato, a half a head of cabbage, 1 bunch of green beans, 1 bell pepper, asparagus, cauliflower, carrots, peas, any type of squash or pumpkin.
First on sauté function add 1/4 cup of oil. I used avocado but olive, corn, canola, vegetable, grapeseed, safflower or sunflower can be used also. Add 1 onion or shallot in half moon slices and 4 cloves of garlic chopped. Cook until onions turn brown then press cancel.
I used goya seasonador but instead you can add 1 bullion cube or use a pinch of the powder, 1 pinch of vegtea seasoning, seasoned salt, kosher salt, pink salt or sea salt too.
Add 3 dashes of mrs dash, I used the one for grilling chicken along with a drop of hot sauce. You can also use your herbs of choice, whatever you have available in your house.
Also if you wish you can add either malt, balsamic, white, or apple cider vinegar, maggi or knorr aroma or worcestershire sauce. Grind 1 pinch of peppercorns in any color you wish and use it in this dish if you prefer.
Press slow cook on high for 3 1/2 hours otherwise 3 hours 30 minutes. Please don’t mind if the meat falls off the bone it is supposed to be this way. Let me know how you like this recipe.
