Instant Pot Meat And Veg Slow Cooked Dump And Go
Hi lovely people at times I just want a no fuss meal and it happens when I am undecided then I get an idea like this. I know I have done posts similar but this one will be amazing when it is finished.
This is so funny this is the first ever post I have done without using a notepad on my phone or ipad. This recipe is so simple there wasn’t really a need. I just got my phone out opened my WordPress app and started typing.
It is in the process of cooking now for instant pot and the like on slow cook setting only or a crockpot just in case you don’t have a multi functional cooker either high or low. I added 1 oz of peanut oil but you can add if you want instead olive, grapeseed, sunflower, safflower, avocado, corn, canola or vegetable oil.
The rest of the dump and go affect is I added 1 lb or kg of beef. Chicken, turkey, veal, lamb, goat, 6 quails, 1 rabbit or 1 Cornish hen can also be used. Add 1 to 2 cups of fresh vegetables of choice, 3 cloves of garlic chopped and either 1 onion or shallot chopped. As you see I have used cauliflower and like I said before it can be any vegetable you desire and it doesn’t matter even if it becomes mushy.
For the seasoning I added 1 pinch of sea salt that is infused with a hot chili called ghost pepper with 1 pinch each of tarragon for my herb of choice. You can add 1 pinch of whatever herb you have on hand and use either infused or plain sea salt, seasoned salt, pink salt, vegtea seasoning, adobo, goya seasonador, bullion powder or 1 bullion cube. If using plain sea salt, seasoned salt, bullion or vegtea seasoning then you can add 1 drop each of hot sauce, liquid smoke only if you are not using the infused smoke sea salt.
Add 1 tsp of vinegar. I used wine vinegar. Balsamic, white, apple cider or even cane vinegar can be used too. Add 1 pinch of meat tenderizer, 3 dashes each of mrs dash, maggi or knorr aroma, worcestershire sauce. If you want to add 1 pinch of peppercorns of any color to a mortar and pestle or spice grinder, bear in mind to grind it coarsely then add to the cooker if using. Don’t worry about adding water because this will make its own juice from the meat and becomes yummy.
To cook select slow cook on whatever type of cooker you have and set time for 4 hours. Here is a tip. There is the condensation collector at the back of these lovely instant pots. I place a sheet of aluminum foil and I work it around the outer rim so I don’t have to come emptying the condensation collector then I place the top big enough on top of this. the foil provides a tight seal and please be careful while removing. You do not want to be scalded.
Serve this with any whole grain of choice on top or whole grain bread.
