Ethiopian Stuffed Jalapeños

Ethiopian stuffed green chili

Actually when I first seen this being made and they actually cook the tomato and onion then stuff it inside of a raw chili. This video is on youtube and I posted it to my Pinterest as a recipe idea of something I want to try out. As you can see I did but I did not get around to making a post of how I did it until now but mine as you can see is raw. I think the cooked version may be too runny to put inside of a chili.

This is how mine is going that I am doing the raw version and I am entitled to feel the way I am feeling. This was my kitchen it was made out of. This is my post and my blog and me preparing this and it is my story and I am sticking with it. Since it is just Mr. Riaz and me I would take at least 4 jalepeno chilies. I ued a paring knife to cut the very top of the chili from the tip on nearly to the stem. They shouild not be cut through at all. Remove the seeds in the inside and the vein of the chili which is the hotest part and repeat until you have all of them done the same way.

Now you will need a cutting board a bigger knife and a bowl. Take 1 onion or shallot and 1 tomato each and mince them and place it in a bowl. Mix 1 tiny pinch of pink salt and 1 capful of either lemon or lime juice and mix. Now carefully stuff your chilies with this mixture and be careful not to tear your chili. It is a delicate operation so handle with care. They should look like this picture above and now you can serve them with your favorite Ethiopian dish right along with Paneer (Cheese) which will help greatly to reduce the sting from the chili itself if it is too hot. Also the leftover onion tomato mixture you can use either in a salad or in another recipe.

The list goes on etc. and of course I love latamore and luther vandros, the beatles, rolling stones and Yusef Islam is also one of the greatest voices and Allah blessed them all with such great talents.
