Seitan Noodles And Seitan Dimsum

Hi folks I want to inform you of this new post I did last night that is called Seitan. I want to tell you all you need to do is place the seitan pieces in to the food processor and set to boil 1 gallon or 4 liters of water and boil the noodles according to package directions. The liquid from the seitan should not be discarded at all. With the setian in the food processor you will need 3 green onions washed and rough chopped, 2 cloves of garlic, 1 small piece of ginger and pulse until it looks like it is in small chunks.
Add Chinese Five Spice My Way, 3 dashes of maggi or knorr aroma, 3 dashes of either dark soy, soy sauce, tamari or panzu to the mixture after removing the contents of the food processor bowl in to a mixing bowl then mix with a wooden spoon. Add 1 pinch of turbidano sugar and mix again. To make the dimsum which are the dumplings themselves, Take the seitan mixture by marble size pieces and place it in the center of the dumpling dough itself and gently fold the sides starting with the top the bottom and then the sides by folding them towards the middle. Seal it closed by squeezing the top of the dough ball closed gently. Dampen you fingers in cold water to pinch the tops of the dumplings to make the seal. Oops I forgot to tell you you can either buy these round dumpling wrappers from any Asian store and also you can make your own homemade Wonton Wrappers too. sorry I did not add this when I published this post and again sorry for the mistake.
If you do not want to use seitan then you can uses 1 kg or 1 lb of either chicken, lamb. beef. veal, goat or even turkey keema in place of the seitan so it can go either way. After forming the dumplings then arrange them loosely on parchment paper lined steamer basket in batches of seven and add 4 cups of water to the instant pot inner lining and set the dumplings gently inside and cover with glass lid and turn steam on and select start. Turn on external timer for 10 minutes, select cancel and set external timer again for 10 minutes. Carefully remove the glass cover and remove the condensation collector and dump the water collected in there, set the finished dumplings in a container and place a cover over them and repeat until all of the filling is used up.
For the seitan noodles itself after the moodles are boiled they should be drained. It can be any type of noodle that are bought at any Asian store, This can be rice noodles that you see in this picture but you can also use soba or udon noodles too. Even glass or cellophane noodles will work just as well Aslo you can boil 1 packet of instant noodles like Indomie in the leftover seitan water and the seasoning packets that came along with these types of ramen noodles. If you are going along with the ramen noodle route just be sure it is halal. Some have the halal symbal right on the package. Add 3 green onions chopped and you can add 1 drop of hoisin sauce and 1/4 cup of mushrooms or other types of vegetables of choice. Add 3 drops of sriacha, 1 capful of either rice vinegar or Chinese black vinegar, 3 dashes of either soy sauce, dark soy sauce, tamari or panzu. You must add the vegetables and cook for 10 minutes on low then add the noodles at the end to finish off this very satisfying meal. Enjoy with oolong tea. Serve with Hot mustard sauce and sugar free sweet and sour sauce which are also posted here in this blog.
