The Tools Of My Trade And About My Kitchen
Actually I just posted a video version of this very same post on my youtube page khanbibi in youtube. I can not do without any of these gizmos or amy of my spices here in my kitchen. I may have a few herbs here and there that are dried but there are some that I bought fresh too such as either dill weed, watercress or even cilantro from the store fresh. I would then bring them home to wash them and store them in a zip baggy and place in to the freezer and they freeze very well like chilies.
The Instant pot however Mashallah is an absolute Godsend and it helps me to enjoy cooking even though it gets very hot in my kitchen in the summer time. No matter what the season is that I always use it and the other night I used to for making frejoles but I have to write and addendem there to show you how it is done. the others are my kitchen shears which I can not do without and my spetzle maker that I use to make spetzle. This I bought from Amazon. I have this pasta maker that is manuel and I had it for years and you clean it with a dry cloth before and after using. You can’t get it wet at all whatsoever because it would jam up the gears and this came from the maufacturer. I read the owner’s manuel and it is best doing before using so you can have better understanding of your product you are buying.
These people who work in the store do not have any knowlage base of a product they are selling and it is very pathetic and deeply disturbing. My immersion blender or stick blender I can’t do without either and it is marvalous and a big time saver no need to cool stuff of if you need to pure anything. Just blend in the pot right there. This one I got from Amazon while my original I got from target a long time ago on Black Friday. No more transfering contents and no you do not have to spend and arm and a leg to cook like a Michelin star chef. Back again about my pasta maker and sorry for trailing off; I bought it from Linens and Things before they went out of business and this was ages ago.
That huge tray I always talk about is here and this is my work surface if I am making any type of dough for either chapati or even naan plus other types of pakistani breads as well and also for making meat pies, samosas, dumplings, pie crusts, pizza crusts and even more. I can’t do without my spieces and you see I have a very well stocked kitchen and there is a blue box under my table to keep stuff in for safe keeping. Also this reminds me because I have to make dough for later Inshallah.
The baster is a very useful item when you are roasting a duck, turkey, chicken cornish hen or even a goose. It helps keep the meat moist and flavorful. I haven’t cooked a goose yet but I think I will keep checking my zabiha meat store to see. Then I will tell you how I cooked it and taken a picture. This new camera I got that I took these pictures with just recently is a Black Friday find too from Walmart onlinr and it is nice crisp and clear unlike Kodak. The Kodak cameras I had were not that great. The images turned out blurry and not clear. I got this one for blogging and a new chromebook laptop and wireless mouse.
I need these for blogging of course and this is what I am doing to try to earn some kind of revenue now. I want to make money from the things I do that I blog to show you guys how to cook. You eat yummy and nutritious food and you made it and not a crummy restuarant. Ok do not get me wrong for those that know me Mr. Riaz has Sub Brothers that is his place of business and the food is great and reasonable if you want fast food and they are clean. But we know home cooked food is the best and there is more love in a home cooked dinner. I can’t do without my cast iron skillets inside my stove either and I grew up with these as well as the smell of coffee in the house while growing up.
The reason why I got the tech items anyway because it is more feasable to have my work published in print for way then half the price I have to pay for having a book published and having to do endless rewrites and proofreading which can be a tiresome headache so blogging for me is a lot easier where everyone out there can at least benifit from having great meals served at home to themselves that is well made and of course I have to have my spices which a total must too and even my cast iron skillets are a must have.Did you know that when you cook in a cast iron skillet that you are getting some kind of essencial iron in your diet. You may want to fact check this because I will and then tell you. I did check but you have to do your own research because I do not want to be misleading because this goes against my grain and it is unethical. So please do your homework?
One other thing I want to add is that this talent I have in the kitchen comes natrually just like my being able to speak 6 languages fluently that this ability comes natrually to me. I did not have to go to culinary school to learn how to cook and take out a loan to amass a lot of debt on my student loan for that. However I did go to a buisness school which was a damned ripoff and they were collecting off of people who dropped out of the program and they lied to people sending them on bogus job leads after graduation and so on. I was one of the people lied to so they shut it down. With also propriatory schools you have to be careful because they will screw you over many times over matter of fact and it was 1st Business School I went to and I was in my 20s then. Honestly cooking and photagraphy was always my passion and that camera I posted just took the last round of those pics and it was my samsung galexy S10+ that took the picture of my new camera and however it is time to give this a break now because my phone can only handle so much even with an sd card inside. Ok I still use my dell laptop and my macbook air laptop as well still to blog and sometimes my phone depending on where I am at. I have had my dell and my macbook air for a few years now and it still works great that I didn’t have any problems with it. I keep my anti virus up to date and scan a lot and always update it and also I use avg. It is great anti virus and It is great for up to 10 devices. It is on every device here in my house.
This post was to tell you how I blog and what I use for blogging and next it would be back to delicious cooking as usual.
