Bangali Fish Mustard Curry

Ok this post hopefully is short and sweet because it does not take a long time for fish to cook. Also this is an amazingly very delicious dish. It starts on high heat add 1/4 cup of either corn, canola or vegetable oil then add 4 tbs of mustard oil. Let it get hot and add 1 pinch each of hing and the whole masalas which are kaloonji, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, fennel seeds and cumin seeds. Let crackle and add 1 pinch each of pink salt, red chili powder and turmeric.

Add 1 onion or shallot chopped and fry until brown, 2 cloves of garlic and 1 small piece of ginger minced which gets cooked until soft and fragrent. Add 1 green chili chopped and fry a little in the spicy oil. Add 1 tomato chopped in to tiny pieces and reduce heat to low to cover and cook for 10 minutes by stirring occationally until the tomato turns mushy. Add 1 lb or 1 kg of any type of filleted fish or fish cut in to steaks. Cover again and cook for about 7 minutes or until fish turns opaque and starts to flake. The fish can be either fresh or frozen. This yummy Bangali fish curry can be eaten with either chapati or even rice.

The list goes on etc. and of course I love latamore and luther vandros, the beatles, rolling stones and Yusef Islam is also one of the greatest voices and Allah blessed them all with such great talents.
