Tuna Or Other Types Of Fish In Coconut Milk

Ok story time leading up to this post goes like this. When Cermac grocery store opened up near me, I happed to stumble on a blue can that said tuna in coconut cream and it was from the Philipines. There was another one I got also which was taro leaves and tuna flakes in coconut cream which was extremely tasty.
That usee to be my lunch and I opend up a can and ate it straight from there with a spoon. However I have coconut milk instead so this worked out just fine and I will do the tuna flakes and taro leaves in the future Inshallah.
I used 1 package of ahi tuna steaks. You can use other types of firm fish if you like such as monk fish, cod, mackeral, salmon or even tilapia which are either steaked or fillieted. Wash them first in cold water. Add 1 oz of either lemon or lime juice on them to remove the smell. In a large cast iron skillet add 1 oz of either vegetable oil, corn oil or canola oil.
Lay the fish down in the hot oil on high heat and cook until it is opaque. Add 3 cloves of garlic and 1 small piece of ginger that has been washed and minced. Add 1 pinch of peppercorns that has been ground in mortar and pestle. Add either 1 strand of lemon grass or 2 lime leaves, 3 green onions or 1 shallot, 3 red and or green Thai chilies chopped.
Add either 1 pinch of pink salt, sea salt or kosher salt. Add either 1 deab of either shrimp or crab paste or 1 oz fish sauce. Add 1 dash of either soy sauce, tamari or panzu, 1 can of coconut milk, 1/4 cup of water cover and let cook for 5 minutes.
The verdict it is extremely delious. Well now I know how to make this I don’t need the can anymore. This is even more tasty and I hope you will enjoy this. Serve over jasmine rice.
