Actually I have tried this recipe a long time ago and I found it to be quite good. This is how I did this and I found it delicious on idlis and dosas. In a hot cast iron skillet on high heat dry roast either 1 whole round or long red chili or 1 Kasmiri chili, Add 1 pinch each of white and black sesame seeds and black urad ki dal and mash ki dal. The black urad ki dal has their skins on while the mash ki dal has theirs removed.

Turn heat off and add to mortar and pestle while hot and grind in to a powder, Add 1 pinch each of hing, turbidano sugar and pink salt pound and grind some more until it is a powder. Place in an airtight bowl with a lid and serve it with your idlis and dosas.

The list goes on etc. and of course I love latamore and luther vandros, the beatles, rolling stones and Yusef Islam is also one of the greatest voices and Allah blessed them all with such great talents.
